Lanvin - for the Trail Blazer in all of us
As one of the oldest couture houses around, Lanvin has been blazing trails for fashionistas since dawn of the 20th century. Jeanne Lanvin, having a background as a dressmaker for Talbot, made exquisite dresses for her daughter that were the envy of the neighborhood. Eventually, Lanvin built up a client base of wealthy socialites and other famous Europeans. She opened up a boutique and the brand has been in demand ever since. And with such distinct styles (such as the ingenious popularization of the robe de style garment), is it any wonder that this brand is still alive and kickin'?
Our gold and black 100% silk Lanvin skirt is a testament to the success of the brand. While this particular piece is from the 60s, it stands the test of time and spices up any modern wardrobe – especially around the holiday season!
While what makes this skirt, along with any Lanvin item so special is physically apparent, the true beauty of the brand lies in its history – which is something I was unaware of before my own research. There is a reason these pieces are so well loved: because they were crafted with the kind of timeless TLC that transcends your run of the mill trendy brand. Lanvin is here to stay.
Here are some other Lanvin pieces we have in the store. To the left is a pink men's blazer from the 1960s and to the right, a floral blouse from the 70s.

Dapper Dudes
In my last post I mentioned that I expect our male customers to look just as dapper as the ladies this holiday season. Well the fates heeded my call, look at these guys! Robin, Dash, and Sanford know what's up.
Good looks, gentlemen.

Hey Fellas
I know you have gifts on your mind, but you should look dapper this Holiday season too!
In my dreams, this is what Colonel Mustard would actually wear. Ditch the monocle for some tortoise-shell frames. FUN FACT: I played Colonel Mustard in a 7th grade play. If you remind me or Bon of this fact anytime before Friday, we'll give you 10% off one item of your choice!
