Original BOB MACKIE Theatrical Opera Costume

Our newest item on 1st Dibs is an original BOB MACKIE theatrical costume from the 1998 San Francisco Opera Production of "Lulu." Mackie was born on the west coast and spent his prolific career designing for some of America's most fabulous performers, including Cher, Judy Garland, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, and Tina Turner. He is also known for designing costumes for the late Whitney Houston. This particular dress explains why he is often called "The Sultan of Sequins" and the "Rajah of Rhinestones."

Valentine's Day at 1 of a Find
